The BC Wheelchair Basketball Society (BCWBS) is a non-profit organization formed in 1983 and registered with Revenue Canada as a charity since 1985. BCWBS provides support to wheelchair basketball programs throughout British Columbia.

Kelowna Wheelchair Basketball Jam 2017 - Early Bird Registration Deadline This Friday (May 19)

May 15, 2017 The 9th annual Jam is an opportunity for high performance and recreationally competitive players with and without disability. The tournament will host players from BC, Alberta and some US States in fun games to play together. It’s ideal for people of all levels of play. Players will be shuffled onto different team combinations so as to allow everyone to have a chance to play with new people for each game. Games will be running time with a short break at half time. May 08, 2017 Congratulations to Ben Hagkull and Tanner Jung! These two talented young athletes have been named to the U23 Men's World Wheelchair Basketball Championship team. They will compete at the Men’s U23 World Wheelchair Basketball Championship in Toronto from June 8-16, 2017. We have watched Ben and Tanner grow up from our junior program and mature into high-performance athletes and we're so proud of them! BC Breakers Missed Bronze Medal by 4 Points

April 24, 2017 BC Breakers competed at the CWBL Women’s National Championship held in Burlington, ON last weekend (April 21-23). Finishing 2nd in the round robin, Breakers faced Saskatchewan in a cross-over game and secured a spot in a semi-final by beating them 59-53. Breakers struggled against Calgary Rollers, who won the championship title this year, in the semi-final and lost to them 47-65. Sunday morning Breakers faced Quebec in the bronze medal game. Small but fast Quebec team had a strong game against Breakers in a round robin on Friday by beating Breakers 53-67. read more...

April 19, 2017 BC Wheelchair Sports Association (BCWSA), in collaboration with BC Wheelchair Basketball Society, Access Services and Britannia Community Centre, is pleased to host an Aboriginal Have a Go day. Individuals with and without disabilities will have an opportunity to try different wheelchair sports including wheelchair tennis, rugby, athletics, and basketball!
