The BC Wheelchair Basketball Society (BCWBS) is a non-profit organization formed in 1983 and registered with Revenue Canada as a charity since 1985. BCWBS provides support to wheelchair basketball programs throughout British Columbia.
Junior West Regional Championships Coming to the Canada Games Host City - March 22-24

March 18, 2013 The 2013 Junior West Regional Wheelchair Basketball Championship is taking place at the Duchess Park Senior Secondary School in Prince George, British Columbia, March 22-24, 2013. The 3-on-3 tournament features the top junior aged athletes (born on January 1, 1991 or later) in Western Canada from the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan, who are age-eligible to participate in the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George. read more...

Girls Got Together for Fun and Activity-Filled Weekend

March 15, 2013 March 9th and 10th saw an exciting weekend in wheelchair basketball action! BC Wheelchair Basketball hosted the Breakers Women’s Festival at Douglas College New Westminster and Trinity Western University in Langley. BC Breakers competed with the two women’s teams from Alberta, Calgary Rollers and Edmonton Inferno. Although unsuccessful in the final score, the Breakers played 4 hard fought games and improved with each passing game. read more...
Douglas College Royals and Tacoma Titans Win Provincial Titles

March 08, 2013 As the expression goes, “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.” This was surly the case for British Columbia’s wheelchair basketball athletes. Apart from the awful rain we had on the weekend, the 2013-BC CWBL finals took place at Pinetree Community Centre in Coquitlam. The event began on Friday March 1st where the Division 1 Royals took another win over the Lions to secure their championship title for the season. Seattle and BC Selects Challenged D1 Teams
February 25, 2013 On the weekend, Feb 23 and 24, a team from Seattle and a team "BC Selects" consisted of Paralympic Gold medalists Richard Peter and James Treuer and our young rising stars played against our Division 1 teams Douglas College Royals and Douglas College Lions. Division 1 teams struggled with different play styles that Seattle and BC Selects brought but appreciated the challenges.
