The BC Wheelchair Basketball Society (BCWBS) is a non-profit organization formed in 1983 and registered with Revenue Canada as a charity since 1985. BCWBS provides support to wheelchair basketball programs throughout British Columbia.

DIVISION I and II Tournament Results
November 29, 2011 BCWBS hosted a BC-CWBL Division 1 & 2 tournament in Lower Mainland this past weekend (Nov 26 & 27.) In Division 1, Lions and Royals played each other twice. Lions lead by Coach Marni took both wins and now is leading the season. Both games were very competitive where everyone contributed to the games fairly equally. read more...

November 24, 2011 A BCWBS member and Paralympian Richard Peter will be honoured at the 19th Annual National Aboriginal Achievement Award on February 24 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, BC. The official announce was made in Ottawa on Novemeber 22. The Awards celebrate excellence in the Indigenous community and the limitless potential that Indigenous people represent. Wheelchair Basketball Canada Officials Exam Is Online

November 23, 2011 Wheelchair Basketball Canada Officials Exam is online at WBC website. In order to be considered for post-season assignments (i.e. CWBL Open Finals, Nationals), you must complete and pass the current exam by January 15, 2012. BC Wheelchair Basketball asks all the officials in BC to take this exam as it is a good educational opportunity while those who want to officiate nationally must take this exam. Both Canadian Women's and Men's Wheelchair Basketball Teams Qualify For London 2012 Paralympics

(Guadalajara, MX) The Canadian Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team will compete in London at the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games following a 60-42 bronze medal victory over hometown Mexico at the 2011 Parapan American Games. Patrick Anderson (Fergus, ON) was the game’s high scorer with 27 points and 12 rebounds. He has been an offensive juggernaut for the Canucks, averaging a tournament leading 22.8 points per game. read more...
